How
much does membership cost, and how long does membership last?
To
celebrate our second anniversary on-line, Teachyourselfguitar.com
is offering a one-year membership for only $5.95, an
80% discount off of the normal $30 subscription fee. That's less than
$0.20 a lesson!
$5.95
sounds way too cheap for an effective guitar course. What's the catch?
There
is no catch. Don't be fooled by the low price. Teachyourselfguitar.com
is completely effective. The low price does not reflect a low quality
service; rather it reflects our desire to teach as may people as possible
the joy of playing the guitar, as inexpensively as possible.
What
would I have to pay if I learned the material presented in this course
through a traditional guitar teacher?
Members save time and money compared to a
traditional guitar teacher or buying dozens of books. Knowing that private
teachers charge up to $25 per half hour lesson, the thirty lessons presented
in Teachyourselfguitar.com have a
retail value of up to $750.
What
will I learn in the course?
Click
here to preview the index of the thirty
lessons. You will learn everything from tuning your guitar to music theory,
from proper finger positions to scales and chords. By the end of the course
you will have the skills you need to be able to play your favorite songs
and will possess a solid understanding of the guitar.
Is
the course effective?
Yes! Teachyourselfguitar.com
is based on 14 years of guitar teaching experience, coupled with the latest
multimedia technology. The only difference is that instead of sitting
down face-to-face with a "conventional" guitar teacher, you
learn the material "face-to-monitor." When you want, at your
own pace, without having to leave the comfort of your own home.
What
type of guitar do I need to learn?
It
doesn't matter what type of guitar you have, or what type of music you
listen to. Whether it's a steel string acoustic, an electric, or a classical
guitar, whether it's six- or twelve-string, the fundamentals of guitar
playing are the same for all instruments. Seven guitars are used throughout
the course so you can see and hear different types of instruments. However,
this course is not designed to teach the four-string bass guitar or ten-string
pedal steel guitar, due to the different playing techniques involved.
I
don't know how to read music. Is this a problem?
Not
at all! Teachyourselfguitar.com does
not require any prior knowledge of music. The course contains all the
material you need to start playing fast.
Can
I go back to a previous lesson if I want to review the material again?
Absolutely.
Just like flipping pages in a book, you have complete access to all of
the lessons at any time for the duration of your membership. In fact,
any time a previous lesson is mentioned, a link is included if you want
to go back to review it.
I
have a very busy schedule and I'm away from home often, so I won't be
able to play regularly. Is this a problem?
Not
at all. Teachyourselfguitar.com was
designed so you can learn at your own pace, when and where you want.
You don't need to change your schedule, as a person learning from a private
teacher has to.
What
if I get stuck or have a question? Is there any help available?
If
you do hit a roadblock, you can always email us at stringmaster@teachyourselfguitar.com.
The email link is included in every lesson. We'll always try to answer
your question within 24-48 hours.
